AGCO model reference
The DT205B SCR test summary 652 / OECD 2496 reports 212.7 hp PTO power at 2200 engine rpm, 232.9 hp at the 1000 rpm PTO point, and 242.3 hp maximum for one hour at 1850 engine rpm. Those are three operating points on one test, not interchangeable engine ratings.
DT205B: a test number changes the power comparison
The difference between its rated-speed and maximum PTO readings is 29.6 hp, about 13.9% of 212.7 hp. If an implement needs continuous power at a specified shaft speed, selecting the largest number without its operating point can give the wrong comparison.
The university archive separately lists AGCO DT205B summary S747; a test-number match matters as well as the model name. Match engine/emissions configuration, test and operating point before using a result to compare machines.
Do not transfer RT transmission figures between versions
The RT records distinguish powershift and CVT arrangements, with separate listed lift/weight figures where the source identifies them. Start with the fitted transmission and axle arrangement, then choose the corresponding figure. A model designation alone does not establish which combination is in a used listing.
DT205B test results retain their ballast condition
The Nebraska 2011 compilation, printed page 11 labels its DT205B columns as tested as Massey Ferguson 8650 under summary 652 from 2008. It separates unballasted and ballasted results. These are documented test configurations, not measurements of every AGCO tractor with that model name.
The tested weights are 25960 lb and 27130 lb. The corresponding maximum-pull entries are 26505 lb at 2.45 mph and 27890 lb at 2.41 mph. Added ballast and the test condition therefore belong beside a drawbar comparison; a larger pull is not a different engine-power rating or a promise for the soil and tires on another farm.
The same table separates PTO tests from drawbar tests. Its 212.7 hp rated-engine-speed PTO entry uses 2200 engine rpm, while the 232.9 hp standard-PTO-speed entry uses 1000 PTO rpm and 2035 engine rpm. Fuel rates of 11.57 and 12.15 US gal/h belong to those respective PTO test points.
They are not a field-work consumption forecast.
The publication also identifies the lift point and distinguishes hydraulic supply from PTO output. Its linkage entry is stated at 24 in behind the hitch points. Retain that basis when comparing it with a brochure figure whose measurement point differs.
A tractor's unqualified lift-capacity headline does not settle the weight and geometry of an installed implement.
SpraCoupe retirement is a dated production fact
CropLife's January 7, 2013 report quoting AGCO states that North American SpraCoupe production would end after the 2013 model year, with production of 4460, 4660, 7460 and 7660 continuing through May 2013. The announcement also described continued parts and dealer support at that time. It is a historical commitment, not verification of present stock or support for a particular serial number.
For an older sprayer purchase, identify the machine and spraying system separately. Establish which parts, service information and controls are available for that actual unit before purchase. A retirement announcement cannot establish current used-machine availability, an asking-price range or the absence of a recall.
Those questions require their own current evidence.
DT205B to DT275B: engine ratings and the brochure's conflicting definitions
The 2009 AGCO DT Series brochure, AG09059, identifies DT205B, DT225B, DT250B and DT275B. Its specification table separates ISO engine power at rated speed, maximum ISO engine power and PTO output. Those columns describe different quantities; neither a tested maximum from another report nor the digits in a model name can replace the stated operating point.
For ISO engine horsepower at 2,200 rpm, the brochure lists four versions: rated 240 hp on the DT205B, 265 hp on the DT225B, 290 hp on the DT250B, and 320 hp on the DT275B. Its maximum ISO engine row is specified at 2,000 rpm, while its PTO row uses rated engine speed. Keep that distinction when comparing these published ratings with the separately identified Nebraska test above.
| Published horsepower basis | DT205B | DT225B | DT250B | DT275B |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ISO engine at 2,200 rpm | 240 hp | 265 hp | 290 hp | 320 hp |
| Maximum ISO engine at 2,000 rpm | 270 hp | 295 hp | 320 hp | 350 hp |
| PTO at 2,200 engine rpm | 205 hp | 225 hp | 250 hp | 275 hp |
Resolve the rear-lift measurement point before comparing an implement
The brochure's feature description on PDF page 11 assigns 21,336 lb to the link ends. Its specification table on PDF page 42 instead labels the same 21,336 lb maximum at 24 inches behind the linkage. These are different measurement points within the same source.
The TractorData records below also retain their own stated hitch labels; those labels do not resolve the brochure's internal disagreement.
Keep both passages with a request for the applicable serial-range lifting information. Do not turn the shared numerical value into a claim that either measurement position applies everywhere. For a proposed mounted implement, the relevant mass, center of gravity and usable lift position need the supported figure for that particular arrangement.
Keep standard and economy PTO engine settings separate
On PDF page 43, the specification lists 1,000E/1,000 PTO, a 1¾-inch shaft with 20 splines, and engine settings of 1,605 rpm for economy output and 1,970 rpm for the standard output. Both modes refer to the specified shaft-speed duty. These engine settings are not the 2,200 rpm operating point used in the brochure's rated-speed PTO power row.
Identify the fitted shaft, controls and permitted mode from the actual tractor documentation before matching a driven implement. A power value quoted at one engine setting cannot establish the available output at another setting without the corresponding evidence. The named Nebraska report adds tested points, but it does not erase those distinctions or identify every other DT configuration.
Ask which transport-speed option the offered tractor has
The descriptive transmission pages discuss optional travel up to 32 mph. The specification table on PDF page 41 instead gives the optional road range as 30 mph, labeled 50 km/h; it separately identifies the standard 25 mph arrangement. Preserve that source conflict rather than averaging the speeds or choosing the larger headline for a used listing.
Check the installed transmission option and its applicable operating information. The brochure is useful evidence for identifying the options to investigate, while actual road operation also needs the machine's supported configuration and route requirements. A historical optional speed is neither proof that the option is fitted nor permission to travel at it on a particular road.
Distinguish the brochure's two DEF volume statements
PDF page 43 labels usable DEF capacity as 7.9 US gallons, with 30 litres alongside it. The service discussion on PDF page 46 calls the DEF tank 13.2 gallons, with 50 litres. The publication does not establish that one is simply the other's reserve or provide enough information to reconcile them as a service-fill instruction.
Use the engine and emissions identity and the applicable operator or service documentation to resolve the installed system. Keep usable quantity, nominal tank size and a maintenance refill quantity distinct. An assumed explanation can be plausible without being documented, so it should not become a new specification or an instruction to add a guessed amount.
Read shipping mass with its tire basis
The dimension table on PDF page 43 lists approximate shipping weight of 24,250 lb and states that its dimensions use dual 520/85R46 rear tires and 480/70R34 front tires. The word shipping and the tire footnote belong with the table. A different set of tires, added ballast, loader or carried implement needs the actual configuration assessed rather than an isolated weight copied into a transport plan.
Record the fitted wheel equipment and separately carried items with the quotation. Establish the secured traveling dimensions, mass and distribution on the relevant basis. A historical catalog figure can help identify an inconsistency in a listing without becoming a weighbridge result for the machine offered today.
History and service record of the DT205B to DT275B
TractorData's DT275B listing identifies the DT-B series for 2009 to 2010, built in Beauvais, France, with an AGCO Sisu Power 8.4 L six-cylinder engine and continuously variable transmission. It records an original price of $231,833 in 2009. That is a dated historical catalog price, not a present asking value or a valuation of a particular used tractor.
The same reference identifies the DT275B with the Massey Ferguson 8680, rather than the 8650 named in the earlier mixed-series description. Retain the exact model relationship as that reference's statement; it does not approve transferring every part, setting or load rating between brands. Check the installed equipment and the appropriate parts documentation when a proposed substitute depends on more than the shared platform description.
For buying or service, keep the DT model and complete machine and engine identities with the transmission option, emissions arrangement, fitted hydraulics and hitch equipment. Price the documented repair and option requirements separately. A historical price, a toy carrying a similar designation or an old first-page listing count cannot establish present condition, value or safety history.
