- Drive motor leaks on a 655C Series II. A Heavy Equipment Forums thread about a 2005 655C Series II with 5,700 hours describes leaking drive motor covers and a random shutdown with the right drive motor light on, and a reply said worn pivot shaft bushings let the plugs contact the side covers. 655c series ii issues, Heavy Equipment Forums.
- A fix from another owner. Another poster in that thread replaced the pivot shaft bearings on his 655C Series II and filed the outer face of the VSTI plugs so they sat recessed from the manifold face, which kept them from knocking loose and extruding the seal. 655c series ii issues, Heavy Equipment Forums.
- Safety lever stop on a 655C. A 2016 thread has a 655C track loader coming to a dead stop with the safety lever light on although the boom still works, and a later poster describes a 655C that stops with the low-range and electrical problem lights lit and sometimes works again after cycling the key.
