A wheeled digging machine and a material handler do different jobs

The DX140W-5 is the wheeled excavator in this comparison. The DX210WMH-5 is a purpose-built material handler. Its elevated working position, handling front and auxiliary circuits make the machine's application more specific than the old shared excavator category suggests.

DX140W-5 travel controls are separate from attachment modes

The original European DX140W-5 brochure identifies a DL06P engine. Its Stage IV arrangement uses SCR and DOC without a diesel particulate filter. A DPF-regeneration procedure borrowed from another machine would not describe that published configuration.

The travel FNR selector sits on the right joystick, while the front-axle oscillation lock has On, Off and Auto settings. These control direction and chassis behavior rather than the attachment's oil requirement. The selected work mode separately distinguishes one-way flow, two-way flow, digging and lifting.

Smart Power Control changes engine speed and pump torque under low load. Auto-idle and the settable engine shut-off are additional functions. An engine-speed change during a demonstration should be compared with those selected functions before it is labelled a fault.

DX210WMH-5 equipment serves the handling attachment

Doosan describes front and rear stabilizers, additional guarding and a boom and arm developed for handling scrap, waste and logs. The hydraulic cab riser and rear camera belong to that handling arrangement. A fixed-cab excavator's sightline is not the same working position.

The machine also has two-way auxiliary and rotate circuits. Joystick buttons control auxiliary equipment, with a foot pedal offered as an option. Identify the installed attachment connections instead of assuming that an ordinary digging bucket uses the same controls.

The optional generator serves a different equipment requirement from the grapple hydraulics. Its presence should be established on the particular machine. The lifting work mode likewise changes pump torque and engine behavior; selecting it does not establish an attachment's permissible load.

The US90 lifting chart has its own configuration

The DEVELON US90 sheet labels its lift chart with the handling boom, arm, counterweight and tire configuration, and explicitly states that no bucket is fitted. It distinguishes ratings over the front from ratings over the side or through a full rotation. An asterisk identifies a hydraulic limit.

The sheet separately publishes grapple dimensions and magnet capacities for different material categories. Those attachment figures are not interchangeable with the machine's radius-and-height lifting chart. Shipping dimensions also carry a lowered-cab condition; cab height while working should not be substituted for transport clearance.
