Hitachi ZX245USLC-6 and ZX250LC-6 specifications

Separate the compact-tail machine from the hydraulic-document editions

The ZX245USLC-6 and ZX250LC-6 need different configuration checks. Hitachi's ultrashort brochure gives the ZX245 a dedicated third pump supplying the swing circuit. That arrangement matters during combined movements, rather than merely promising more engine power. Its transport drawing also ties overall length to the fitted arm. The corrected entries below identify that arm and distinguish bucket-cylinder bore from stroke; the earlier reference values remain in the discrepancy record.

The full-line guide describes a particular ZX250LC-6

Hitachi's Full Line Guide 17-05 lists the ZX250LC-6 with an Isuzu engine and a two-pump flow entry. It also identifies standard track shoes and counterweight beside the operating-weight data. Those conditions make the guide useful for checking an offered machine's build.

They do not prove that every excavator carrying this designation has the same hydraulic installation or working weight.

The guide's ZX245 entry has a different pump arrangement despite sharing the engine family. For a buyer comparing the two, equal engine-family lettering is therefore a poor shortcut for attachment compatibility. Read the flow row for the actual model, then identify the fitted auxiliary circuit.

Pump delivery alone does not establish the flow available through an attachment's couplers or the permitted pressure of that attachment.

The TRIAS II publication describes another hydraulic arrangement

The Zaxis-6 family brochure describing TRIAS II gives the ZX250LC-6 three pumps. Its explanation connects electronically controlled pump delivery with the control valves, and describes boom-oil recirculation during lowering. Oil already under pressure can assist the arm instead of every movement relying on fresh pump delivery.

The brochure separately describes arm recirculation cancellation under low load and a boost route during combined arm-in and boom-up movement.

These are circuit-level differences worth matching to the machine's applicable literature. They are not evidence that the older two-pump table is a printing error. Keep the two publications distinct when discussing hydraulic performance with a seller or repairer.

The TRIAS II brochure's high-power mode also concerns engine speed and pump torque; it does not turn a catalogue maximum into continuous attachment flow.

Geometry still needing reconciliation

The inherited ZX245 working-range table names a shorter arm than the manufacturer drawing used for the corrections. That unresolved set stays visible as a reference entry, rather than being silently applied to the brochure configuration. It must not determine a trench-depth or transport decision until the actual front equipment and its matching drawing are identified.
