Hitachi ZX300LC-6–ZX470LC-6: hydraulic editions, fronts and track geometry

ZX300LC-6 hydraulic hardware depends on the publication

Hitachi's February 2023 North American booklet describes the ZX300LC-6 HP with TRIAS II hydraulics. Its three main pumps feed the front equipment through coordinated control valves. Arm recirculation cancellation helps roll-in under light load, while boom-lowering oil can assist arm movement.

Those descriptions concern different flow paths; they are not alternative names for the power-boost button.

The same edition lets the operator select Economy, Power or High Power. High Power raises engine speed and pump torque. Attachment modes are separate settings, including a thumb mode and stored choices for other tools.

A report of weak attachment performance should identify both the working mode and the selected attachment setting.

Camera and oil-monitoring equipment also help identify this later publication. Aerial Angle combines views from the left, right and rear cameras; the display can show a composite or individual views. ConSite OIL monitors engine and hydraulic oil condition.

Neither camera coverage nor a sensor reading establishes the physical condition of a used boom, pin or track chain.

The 2023 engine description uses DOC and SCR aftertreatment without a DPF. That means the absence of a particulate-filter regeneration control does not prove the emissions equipment has been removed. Confirm the fitted engine and market specification before applying that description to an earlier machine.

ZX470LC-6: mass-excavation front versus the longer working range

The May 2021 ZX470LC-6 booklet instead identifies HIOS III hydraulic management and two main variable-displacement pumps. Its power-boost pressure is separate from the ordinary implement, travel and swing settings. A pump's maximum discharge does not describe the flow available to an attachment while every function runs together.

Front selection changes more than digging depth. The booklet separates a mass-excavating boom and short arm from the longer boom and alternative arms. Their working-range columns give different reach, dump height and digging force.

The longer arm reaches farther but does not retain the short-arm crowding force. Identify both pieces before comparing two listings.

The carrier has different gauge positions for transport and work. Its width therefore also depends on the selected shoes and the undercarriage position. The lift-chart notes specify standard gauge on a firm supporting surface and include handling equipment in the load.

A transport-width figure must not become an assumption about the configuration used for lifting.

Single-pedal straight-line propel and auxiliary combination piping are optional in this publication. The ordinary travel pedals and a monitor attachment setting do not prove those options are installed. The battery disconnect sits behind the cab, and the cooler arrangement opens for cleaning; these are concrete access points to examine during a machine inspection.
