Attachment hydraulics distinguish an equipped 221F or 321F

The original European F-series brochure gives the 221F and 321F a high-flow package that includes creep control, a front electrical socket and a depressurised return drain. A high-flow label alone does not establish that an attachment has its electrical connection or suitable return plumbing. The brochure lists 85 litres per minute standard flow and 130 litres per minute with that package.

Those figures belong to the stated engine speed.

Creep control and the Inch & Brake pedal serve different purposes. Creep sets travel independently for continuous hydraulic work such as sweeping; the pedal lets the loader slow while maintaining engine speed for the bucket circuit. Optional high travel speed is a separate choice.

Bucket and fork tables also use different payload conventions, so a bucket tipping-load percentage cannot simply become the fork rating.

The 2019 controls update changes how a used loader feels

CASE's North American announcement dated September 2019 introduced independent lift and tilt response settings. Two three-position rocker switches let the operator choose response for the arms separately from attachment tilt. Automated bucket metering adds finer movement when feeding material into a truck or wagon.

The revised E-inching pedal uses an electronically controlled valve. A comparison between an early loader and this update therefore needs more than the shared model badge. Check the console and pedal arrangement during inspection.

CASE's announcement preserves separate operating weights and lift capacities for the two models; the upgrade did not make their load ratings interchangeable.

Evolution adds another identifiable equipment generation

The November 2023 European Evolution release introduces modular axles on the 221F and 321F, with limited-slip or fully locking differential choices. Its optional 40 kph travel rating differs from the earlier brochure's high-speed option. Match the publication to the machine.

Evolution's Eco mode caps engine speed at 1,700 rpm, with pump regulation maintaining hydraulic performance. CASE recommends that mode for routine work, while allowing higher output for demanding attachments or breakout. Return-to-travel and return-to-height join the loading assistance functions.

Bucket shake helps empty sticky material. SiteWatch and SiteConnect are options in this release, so a used Evolution machine needs its installed connectivity and subscription checked separately.
