CASE TV380: controls, hydraulic packages and load conditions

TV380 controls and auxiliary hydraulics must be identified separately

CASE's Tier 4 Final TV380 has a vertical-lift front. The 2015 introduction contrasts it with the radial-lift TR340, even though both appear in the same announcement and share an engine-output class. Their load paths differ.

Do not apply a TR340 linkage or breakout figure to a TV380 just because the surrounding engine and hydraulic descriptions look familiar.

For electro-hydraulic machines, CASE describes an EZ-EH menu with adjustable speed and control sensitivity, plus a rocker switch selecting H or ISO patterns. Mechanical hand controls and hand/foot controls also appear as separate choices in the later specification sheet. Begin a demonstration by identifying the fitted controls.

A sluggish response with a deliberately reduced sensitivity setting is a different observation from a function that fails at every setting.

Standard flow, combined high flow and Enhanced High Flow are three hydraulic packages. EHF uses a higher pressure but a lower published flow than the ordinary high-flow option. The option name therefore cannot be read as simply the largest gallons-per-minute number.

Match both pressure and flow to the intended tool, along with its electrical controls and case drain.

Use the equipped weight and the correct load percentage

The later sheet gives separate operating capacities at thirty-five and fifty percent of tipping load, plus another capacity with counterweights. These are different rating conditions. A bare tipping-load entry does not identify the permitted operating load for the advertised configuration.

Bucket choice also changes overall length, dump height and the performance-test arrangement.

CASE's 2018 weight condition includes an open cab, operator, heavy-duty bucket and full fuel. Its table lists glass, door, seat and counterweight additions separately. Retain that equipment condition when calculating transport mass; the shipping-weight row and an earlier reference weight are not substitutes for the loaded machine.

The 2018 engine table names F5B FL413 E*B002, while its equipment list names F5H FL463 A*F001. That internal identification conflict needs the installed engine plate; it is not resolved by choosing whichever line is convenient. The Final emissions publication uses SCR and a DEF tank and specifically says no DPF is required.

Inspect the fitted after-treatment equipment and identification plate before ordering service parts for an older TV380. The rigid undercarriage and triple-flange rollers are another identifying feature: CASE describes them separately from suspended-track arrangements. Check the inner flanges and track lugs together during an undercarriage inspection.

Short answer

The CASE TV380 is an 84-horsepower tracked compact loader, and CASE lists one version of it. The 2018 Tier 4 Final sheet lists 10,550 lb under its open-cab and heavy-duty-bucket weight condition; the earlier 10,000 lb reference entry is retained separately.
