515 and 525: owner reports
Sources: 3 forum discussions about the Caterpillar 525 skidders (525B and later); heavyequipmentforums.com.- Transmission shifting. All three threads are transmissions: a 525B that would only run in first gear, a 525 that shifted 1-2 and sometimes 3 then kicked to neutral (a reply said that is usually an open circuit, solenoid or wire to the solenoid), and an original-transmission 525 with over 15,000 hours that pulled well with medium loads but surged in and out with a big load, where a reply said to flash the codes when it misbehaves.
