Kobelco SK200-8 to SK260LC-8 specifications
An SK260LC-8 arm choice changes more than maximum depth
The original Southeast Asian SK250/SK260LC brochure pairs the short, standard and long arms with different bucket recommendations. Its long-arm configuration reaches deeper, but has less arm crowding force than the short-arm setup. Buying the deepest-reaching machine and then fitting the largest listed bucket ignores that relationship.
The attachment matrix also separates normal digging from loading-only combinations. A bucket shown as acceptable for moving loose material is not automatically recommended for digging with that arm. Identify the fitted arm before comparing bucket size or breakout figures.
The table below preserves the manual's arm lengths and force values together, instead of mixing the strongest force with the longest reach.

The EGR edition describes separate pre-fuel filters with water separators ahead of the main fuel filter. Those service points are not the double-element air cleaner. Trace the fuel and intake systems separately when asking what was replaced during a recent service.
Its intercooler, radiator and oil cooler sit in a parallel arrangement intended to make cleaning easier. The brochure also identifies a removable radiator screen and an enlarged fuel-tank drain. During an inspection, access to those items matters more than a claim that the engine compartment was washed.
These features belong to the cited regional edition; they do not establish the equipment of every imported SK200 or SK210.

The Australian/New Zealand SK235SR-2 brochure routes cooling air through the iNDr intake filter and an offset duct around the engine compartment. That duct arrangement controls noise as well as dust entry. The intake screen is a separate service item from the engine air cleaner behind it.
Inspect the screen itself, not only the radiator face. Kobelco describes a removable stainless-steel wave screen and a visual dirt check at start-up. Its service-access layout also differs by side: the iNDr filter, air cleaner and coolant checks are on the left, while the oil and fuel-filter access is in the pump compartment.
This short-rear-swing machine needs its own cooling and access assessment; the conventional SK260LC's engine-compartment layout is not a substitute.
