Komatsu D37PX-23: PAT dozer weight, HST and market equipment
D37PX-23 tractor weight and complete dozer weight
Komatsu’s American D37-23 brochure separates tractor weight from complete dozer weight. Its 7,660 kg tractor figure includes the ROPS cab, U-frame, fluids, operator and standard equipment. The 8,780 kg operating figure adds the Power Angle Tilt assembly.
The lighter figure therefore excludes equipment present on the blade-equipped dozer.
The PX’s standard shoes are 600 mm wide. Ground pressure is quoted with the PAT blade, hitch, steel cab and operator, so pair it with that configuration. The combined pedal also has two modes: one reduces engine and travel speeds together; the other brakes travel while maintaining engine revolutions.
Check the selected mode before diagnosing unchanged engine speed as a fault.

The July2013 European brochure identifies a dual-path hydrostatic transmission. Quickshift and Variable modes select travel behavior; they are not descriptions of a mechanical powershift gearbox. The HST controller adjusts pump and motor displacement to the engine and travel load.
That edition describes Topcon Plug and Play brackets and connection points on the blade, machine and cab. Provision for installation does not establish that the laser or GPS equipment is fitted. Identify the installed components before valuing a used dozer as an automatic-grading package.
Service access reflects the rear-mounted radiator arrangement. The hydraulic fan swings up on a gas-strut-assisted locking support, exposing the radiator, oil cooler and charge-air cooler. Remote grease points serve the C-frame pivots and angle-cylinder bearing.
The engine’s fuel and oil filters are reached from the front of the engine compartment. These are specific places to check when evaluating cooler contamination or access obstructed by added guards.

Komatsu’s Japanese archive lists the D37PX-23 at8,680 kg and66.1 kW. The same table separately identifies the D37PXI-23 at8,860 kg with the same output. Those model labels and market-specific masses must remain separate from the American8,780 kg configuration.
The archive also lists a D37PX-22 as its own earlier machine. A seller’s broad description of “D37” cannot establish the model suffix, market equipment or presence of integrated machine-control hardware. Read the type plate and inspect the fitted blade before selecting the matching specification sheet.
Similar engine output alone cannot identify those arrangements.
