Liebherr LTM1160/2 specifications
The LTM 1160/2 introduced a different telescoping mechanism
Liebherr identifies the LTM 1160/2 as its first TELEMATIK crane, introduced with a six-section telescopic boom in 1995. A single cylinder extends and retracts the sections without a rope-pull telescoping system. The earlier one-section entry below does not describe the complete telescopic boom.
The cylinder connects to a section through pins, moves it to an allowed extension position, and the section locks to its neighbor. Only after that lock is established can the cylinder disconnect and return to move another section. This sequence explains why the crane's telescoping arrangement needs more information than a single overall length.
Different combinations of extended sections are part of the design.
Liebherr also distinguishes the boom system from fleet telematics. TELEMATIK here means automated telescoping, not remote machine-location reporting. On a used LTM 1160/2, asking whether TELEMATIK works concerns boom-extension and locking operation.
It does not establish a tracking subscription or a satellite communication feature.

LICCON must describe the crane's actual arrangement
The LTM 1160/2 operating manual separates counterweight, support base, slewing range and hoist-cable reeving in LICCON setup. Changing a counterweight or support setting clears configuration-dependent information. The display must then accept a valid arrangement again.
Cable reeving also affects indicated capacity, so an illuminated monitor alone does not demonstrate the crane's suitability for a proposed lift.
Counterweight plates carry their own weight markings, and the fitted combination must match the load chart. Damaged locking stubs are a plate-replacement issue in this manual. Include those mountings in the inspection scope.
Have the qualified operator demonstrate the applicable configuration and explain its chart: the ballast, supports and cable arrangement establish more than a listing's boom length and engine number can show.

The original manual describes a D914TI crane engine in its product section and a D916T in its refill schedule. Its carrier is separately described as D9408TI. The earlier shared engine-model attribution is unverified for the crane being inspected; identify its installed engines before applying power or refill figures.
