Liebherr crane and handling equipment comparisons
Choose the Liebherr crane system before comparing engine figures
The legacy catalogue tables below also contain dozers, loaders and mining trucks. Their engine outputs are not crane lifting capacities. Use the equipment-class headings to separate those references before selecting a lifting machine. Within the crane entries, the carrier, boom arrangement and installed control system determine which technical sheet is relevant; a nearby LTM or LR designation does not establish interchangeable load charts.
LTM equipment and support geometry
Liebherr's mobile-crane technology brochure explains that VarioBase measures individual support extension and support force, with the LICCON limiter calculating capacities for that setup. The illustrated arrangement is different from assuming every outrigger has reached the same extension. Check whether the specific crane has the described system and which operating configurations its documentation permits.
The brochure also limits VarioBallast to some LTM models: a smaller ballast radius helps where rear space is restricted, while a larger radius changes the available capacity. Neither feature should be assigned to an older catalogue entry simply because it carries the LTM prefix. The correct technical sheet must identify its actual ballast, boom and support arrangement.
Source: Liebherr mobile-crane technology brochure, support and ballast systemsDo not treat every tracked crane as the same boom type
Liebherr distinguishes telescopic crawler cranes from conventional lattice-boom crawlers. Its LTR explanation describes an extendable boom adapted from all-terrain crane technology, permitting changes of radius without the same boom-assembly process. This makes the boom system an early selection question when the work involves frequent changes of position or limited assembly space.
That description is about LTR equipment. It is not evidence that an LR1110 or LR1300 reference has a telescopic boom or can use an LTR chart. Identify the complete designation and boom package before moving between the crawler references.
Travelling with a suspended load also needs the instructions and chart for the fitted crane, rather than a general statement about tracked machines.
Source: Liebherr explanation of LTR telescopic crawler equipmentFor digital planning, Liebherr publishes a machine-by-machine Crane Planner portfolio, separating mobile and crawler groups and identifying particular variants. A catalogue name is not proof that every old version is supported. Match the complete model to the portfolio before selecting a digital planning model; then check the crane's actual equipment against that selection.
The portfolio is a compatibility list, not a substitute lifting-capacity chart.
