Takeuchi TB175W: steering orientation, suspension locks and travel modes
TB175W steering depends on upperstructure orientation
Takeuchi defines the front of this wheeled machine by the steering axle. Its operator manual warns that steering-wheel movement and the apparent direction of travel will not agree if the cab is facing the opposite way. Establish the upperstructure's position before interpreting a report that the travel pedals or steering seem reversed.
The machine also has a swing-lock pin for transport and road travel. That mechanical lock is distinct from the safety-lock lever and the separate button that disables the excavating levers. Identifying which lock is engaged is more useful than a general report that “the controls are locked.”

AW3E004 provides LOCK, neutral and AUTO positions for the front suspension. Neutral leaves it unlocked for road travel. In AUTO, braking during low-speed travel locks the suspension and releasing the brake unlocks it; the manual explicitly distinguishes high-speed behavior.
A suspension response observed in AUTO cannot be judged as though LOCK were selected.
Takeuchi warns against manually locking the suspension while traveling. Follow the applicable manual's setup sequence before working with the front equipment. Its brake pedal lock, suspension control and parking brake have different jobs.
The site-travel switch changes between road and site travel, while the creeping switch operates only with site travel selected. The manual requires stopping and engaging the brake-pedal lock before changing the road/site gear. A missing creeper response therefore calls for recording both switch states, not assuming the engine or final drive has failed.
Low engine speed and slow slew can be selected functions
The one-touch deceleration button lowers the engine to idle and a second press restores the speed set through the throttle or power-mode buttons. L, FC and H modes have separate intended work. Record the active mode and deceleration state before diagnosing a machine that will not respond like a previous demonstration.
A separate slew-speed button selects slower rotation. The manual says normal slew cannot be restored while the machine is still rotating in that slow setting: rotation must first stop. That interlock is different from loss of swing in both directions.

Takeuchi's UK technical sheet identifies the Yanmar 4TNV98T-ZSTBW and separates its variable main pumps from additional gear pumps. Auxiliary flow has its own entry. Adding every pump's flow does not describe what an attachment receives at its couplers.
Use the auxiliary figure and installed plumbing when matching a powered attachment.
Takeuchi's archived lift sheet also labels its example as a mono-boom machine and separates rear lifting with blade down, rear lifting with blade up, over-side and over-front positions. Match those support and direction headings before reading a capacity cell; the sheet's force units are not simply kilograms of payload.
