Two S100 engine and hydraulic editions should not be mixed

Bobcat's May 2020 S100 leaflet identifies a V1505-T4F-ST5 engine. It distinguishes manual hand-and-foot controls from optional Selectable Joystick Controls with two-speed travel. The higher listed travel speed belongs to that specified control package; a standard manual-control machine does not acquire it because another S100 advertisement shows the faster figure.

Inspect the installed controls and the machine identification before comparing travel performance.

The same leaflet gives separate operating and bucket-free shipping weights for heavy-duty tyres and for solid tyres. A solid-tyre loader is therefore not described by the lighter tyre configuration's transport figure. Hydraulic bucket positioning and Power Bob-Tach are also listed separately as options.

One identifies a loader function and the other changes attachment coupling operation; neither option alone proves the other is present. Check each fitted feature rather than treating an enclosed cab or a joystick as evidence of a complete option package.

Older V1505-E2B machines have a different reference sheet

The March 2008 S100 sheet instead identifies the V1505-E2B-BCZ engine and a different pump-capacity entry. Its hand-lever steering and foot-pedal loader controls describe that edition, rather than confirming that the later joystick option applies to every older machine. Keep the engine suffix and document edition with the specification when an advertisement gives only the short model name.

That older sheet also puts conditions on its attachment list. Some implements require an attachment-control kit, and operation with the listed hydraulic breaker requires the specified Special Applications Kit. A tool appearing in the brochure's list is therefore not an unconditional approval for an otherwise unequipped S100.

Identify the relevant control and protection kit with the attachment before planning the work. The two operating-weight entries in this older sheet also specify different tyre and bucket combinations. Compare those complete combinations, rather than choosing whichever weight or bucket size makes a transport or access calculation look more favourable.
