Deere 325P and 331P: engines, tracks and loader options
325P: match the engine package and track width
The June2026 MC325PAM brochure gives two Yanmar engine columns. The Final Tier4/StageIV column identifies 4TNV98CT; the UNR96 column uses 4TNV98T and is described as Interim Tier4/StageIIIA equivalent. Their net outputs and torque schedules differ even though both have the same rounded gross horsepower.
Read the engine plate before applying the torque or emissions entry.
The 325P's narrow and wider tracks also have separate machine weights, widths and ground pressures. Wider tracks lower the published ground pressure but increase the width needed through an access opening. Identify the installed track before arranging transport.
ISO-pattern electrohydraulic controls are standard in this brochure. The switchable ISO-H controls and joystick performance package are optional; that package adds creep control and adjustable boom and bucket speeds. A slow travel response with an attachment running may reflect the selected control setting.
Record the settings before comparing it with another loader.

The 331P's Onboard Grade Indicate option displays cross-slope and fore-and-aft slope. Deere describes absolute and relative readings for a flat reference or the existing grade. A slope readout alone does not demonstrate automatic blade control.
Ask which grade feature is installed and watch its actual function.
The separate EH boom performance package automates repetitive loader movements, including return to dig, return to carry and boom-height kick-out. These are different functions from the joystick package's creep control and speed adjustments. A machine can need a different demonstration for each package.
Its weight footnote uses the wider track, while the specification block's standard/optional track labels are inconsistent with the equipment list. Identify the fitted width directly and use the corresponding dimension and pressure row. The published base weight does not include every possible rear counterweight: Deere separately lists sets that can be added.
Include the fitted sets in a transport assessment.

Deere's 325P brochure labels its operating-capacity block for the foundry bucket. The 331P block uses the construction bucket, and separately gives breakout forces with foundry and construction buckets. Those labels belong with the figures.
Both brochures show operating capacities at different percentages of tipping load. The larger percentage is not another engine or an extra counterweight option. Compare like percentages and matching attachments before choosing a loader for a pallet or bulk-material task.
