John Deere compact loaders and small backhoes: model comparisons
CT322 and CT332: the same track option changes the two machines differently
Deere's original CT-series brochure gives the CT322 a narrower standard track than the CT332. The shared 15.8-inch option widens the smaller loader's footprint but narrows the larger one's. That is a useful distinction when comparing the compact tracked machines in this list: the word “optional” does not automatically mean wider tracks or lower ground pressure.
Both use a vertical-lift boom arrangement. Deere also lists single-speed travel as standard and two-speed travel as an option. For a machine moving between stockpiles, verify which drive package is fitted before using the faster travel figure to estimate a loading cycle.
High-flow auxiliary hydraulics are another separate option; a second travel range does not establish the flow available to a trencher.
The CT-series capacity table prints rated operating capacity at two different percentages of tipping load. Choose the same percentage on both candidates before comparing their ratings. Bucket breakout and boom breakout remain separate measurements again, so a strong digging figure cannot replace a pallet-handling capacity.
The smaller wheeled skid steers and backhoe loaders below have their own running gear and lifting arrangements. Start with the attachment and loading task, then open its machine comparison. These CT-specific track choices and vertical-lift characteristics should not be applied to the older 60 skid steer or the 110 TLB simply because all appear in the compact-loader directory.
