John Deere harvest machine specifications

Separate tractor-driven balers from self-propelled application equipment

The 568 baler takes drive through a tractor PTO driveline and a gear case. Deere's TM1035 repair manual identifies separate Iberica and Comer gear-case procedures, electric twine wrapping and CoverEdge net wrapping when equipped. Those are component and equipment distinctions to establish on the actual baler.

A self-propelled combine's engine rating cannot describe the baler's drive requirement, and a net-wrap procedure does not automatically apply to a twine-only machine.

Pickup identity changes replacement parts. Deere's pickup-stripper bulletin separates Regular, MegaTooth and MegaWide Plus arrangements for the 568. Regular uses center strippers; MegaTooth adds outside strippers, while MegaWide Plus distinguishes outside, inside and center positions.

Identify the pickup before ordering a set by baler number. The bulletin also connects stripper wear with pickup height and bent or broken teeth after ground contact. A worn stripper is therefore a reason to inspect the tooth path and mounting screws, not evidence that every pickup part needs replacement.

The F4365 belongs to application equipment here, but it is a dry-nutrient applicator. Deere's dated ordering schedule distinguishes DN495 spinner-box arrangements from an AB485 air-boom proposal. The same schedule explicitly says air-boom orders were not yet available for that model year.

Check the fitted box and actual build; an option appearing in an advance price schedule does not prove installation. Liquid-sprayer nozzle and tank comparisons would miss that fundamental difference.

The John Deere harvest machine range by model and configuration

2 baler pages include the tractor-PTO-driven 568, listed at 4,729 lb. The earlier 319 hp attribution describes an engine, not the 568 baler; it is retained here only as rejected history. The original aggregate power ranges below predate that correction and must not be used as a current baler rating. 6 combine harvester pages: engine power from 218.6 hp on the 9550 to 616.9 hp on the S690, and the heaviest single listing is the 9660 WTS at 30,027 lb. 4 field sprayer pages: engine power from 106 hp on the 6700 to 325 hp on the 4930. 1 swather page: engine power from 115 hp on the 4895 to 182 hp on the 4995.

Half of the 25 John Deere harvest machine models sit between 239 and 339 hp. The three most powerful are the S690 at 616.9 hp, S670 at 500.3 hp, and S680 at 473 hp. 9 of the 13 pages cover more than one version, and the 9660 STS to S660 has the most, at 6.
