John Deere 300B, 302A, 310A and 401C: loader and backhoe configurations
300B engine identity includes the fuel type
Deere's 300B reference separates the gasoline and diesel engines even though both have three cylinders. Their displacements differ. Its idle-speed and engine-service rows also distinguish the two fuel types, so the machine's model alone does not select every engine specification.
The 300B collar-shift transmission has a hydraulic reverser. Deere publishes reverser pressure separately from the closed-center implement system's standby pressure. The transmission pump's test flow is not the loader pump's delivery.
A gauge reading needs the tested circuit and the stated engine-speed condition attached before it can support a diagnosis.

302A loader weight does not include every possible rear attachment
The 302A sales sheet describes a loader that can accept a backhoe, three-point hitch, drawbar or PTO equipment. Its standard operating-weight condition names the tires, utility bucket and other equipment. A complete loader-backhoe weighs differently from the base loader; a single number cannot describe every combination.
The constant-mesh transmission and hydraulic direction reverser are described together, while a collar-shift arrangement appears separately in the equipment list. Match the installed transmission before assuming every 302A uses the same shift controls. The sheet also separates transmission/hydraulic refill from the loader hydraulic compartment.

401C hydraulic tests change with the circuit and serial range
The 401C reference distinguishes the loader circuit from the two named backhoe arrangements. Their relief settings differ by function, including crowd, swing and boom raise. A figure from a backhoe boom circuit must not be treated as a universal pressure adjustment for the loader.
Deere also divides cooler-bypass behavior at a stated serial break. The same table gives separate new-pump and used-pump test conditions. Those flows are acceptance measurements at the specified pressure and speed; they are not automatically the maximum attachment flow during work.

9250A reach depends on the point of measurement
The detachable 9250A backhoe sheet lists compatible 300B, 302A and 401C loader mountings. It distinguishes reach from the swing mast from reach measured at the rear axle, and gives mounting-specific transport heights. Neither reach can replace the other in a trench-positioning comparison.
Its boom and dipper lifting capacities are separate ratings. The sheet also names the bucket and tire conditions used for digging depth. The 310A reference column retains its own backhoe figures here; the 9250A compatibility list does not establish that attachment as a universal 310A fit.
