Dressta 560E: boom choices, fan ratings and special application equipment

Matching the 560E front to the material

The 560E's high-lift boom changes more than loading height. Dressta separates its high-lift rock buckets from the standard-boom rock, general-purpose and coal buckets. A coal bucket's larger volume does not establish a heavier permissible load.

Its job is handling light material. Bucket edge, teeth and boom arrangement also change the clearance and tipping figures. Identify the fitted front before comparing a seller's capacity with the chart.

Cab roof and bucket hinge are separate measurements. The standard hinge reaches 5.05 m; high lift reaches 5.38 m. Roof-mounted lights add 240 mm to the stated overall height.

A transport plan based on the hinge dimension would therefore describe the wrong part of the machine.

The QSX15 rating needs its fan condition, too. The brochure distinguishes gross power, net power and a higher net figure with the hydraulic fan at minimum speed. Those labels explain apparently competing horsepower claims without assuming that the engine was modified.

Serial plates, coupler pins and a useful fuel example

Operating manual OM560EEX07/1R covers Extra machines from serial 15551. It locates the machine plate beside the cab console and a second stamped identity on the left rear-frame plate beneath a service cover. The engine has its own plate on its right side.

Photograph both identities when asking for parts; a loader serial does not identify a replacement engine.

The manual's coupler uses two hydraulically operated locking pins. Their engagement in the attachment holes must be checked before work. Its LOGGER grapple is a special machine arrangement, rather than a bucket accessory to assume fits any 560E.

One published consumption example is about 55 L/h while loading material of 1.65 t/m³ at medium intensity. That is a test condition, not a fuel allowance for every shift. The manual tells users to establish consumption for their actual work.

An advertised hourly figure without material density or task intensity omits what made that example meaningful.

A slag package is an equipment specification

Dressta names the 560E Extra in its factory Special Feature Request program for hot slag. The application booklet describes insulated hoses, fire-resistant hydraulic fluid, protection beneath the drivetrain and purpose-built wheel chains. Heat-resistant bucket construction is part of that application, alongside guarding and fire suppression.

These are items to establish from the machine's order and equipment records. A normal 560E specification does not demonstrate that a used loader has the slag package.

Keep the application separate from the model badge. A photograph of chains or a heavy bucket cannot establish the remaining heat protection, the fluid installed or the suppression system's condition. For a former furnace loader, request the special-build specification as well as its ordinary maintenance history.
