Hesston 745 specifications
Order 745 belts by the early or late arrangement
AGCO's belt catalog separates early and late 745 balers. Both use four shorter belts and two longer belts, but their lengths differ. The early Mini Rough Top arrangement has 475.5-inch and 478.5-inch belts; the late Diamond Top arrangement has 481.5-inch and 486.5-inch belts.
The longer pair belongs in the outside positions. Matching the seven-inch width alone would miss that difference.
The catalog's cross-brand table marks the late arrangement from serial HP89101 and gives different original part numbers for each belt length. Record the baler's serial and existing belt arrangement before ordering. The Hesston-specific table abbreviates the serial information differently, so a bare five-digit serial should not replace the full identification. Source: AGCO belting catalog, pages 7 and 18.

Baler Pickup
The C18 and truck payload entries do not describe the Hesston baler
The archived Hesston 745 reference combines round-baler pickup, bale-chamber and twine information with a Cat C18 engine, road transmission, dump payload and heavy truck axle weights. The latter entries are rejected as baler specifications. Tables captioned “745: rejected truck record” preserve the original source quantities so the discrepancy is explicit; they must not be used to size a tractor, tow the baler or select its service fluids.
Caterpillar's 745 truck specification identifies the C18 engine and the 511 hp gross and 496 hp net ratings that appear in that mixed record. A shared 745 model number cannot transfer a truck engine or emissions system onto a Hesston baler. Keep the baler's pickup, bale size, wrapping equipment, weight and tractor-PTO requirement separate from those foreign entries.
Calculations using the truck engine output and the baler weight are likewise rejected rather than presented as baler performance.
