Launch. Hesston and AGCO announced the 900 Series round balers in January 2003: the 945 and 945 Silage Special make 4 by 5 foot bales, and the 946 Auto Cycle and 946 Auto Cycle Silage Special make 4 by 6 foot bales. Hesston 900 Series announcement, 4cattlemen.com.
What changed in the 900 Series. The release names a one-piece side door, belt lacing with alligator rivets that can be repaired in the field, and a rear-pivoting windguard with pickup flares meant to reduce the effect of wind and cross wind on crop feeding.
