The D155S is a loader, and its bucket cylinders have a serial break

The D155S-1 is a crawler loader, also described as a dozer shovel. Its lifting and bucket-dump cylinders are different applications from the blade-lift and blade-tilt cylinders listed for D155A tractors. Komatsu’s product outline distinguishes a dozer shovel used for loading from a crawler dozer that pushes with a front blade.

A shared D155 designation does not establish that their front equipment uses the same repair parts.

Equal cylinder dimensions do not identify the seal kit

Bulldog’s hydraulic catalogue separates the loader-lift application at serial 1139. Earlier machines use its KM-BD-123536 kit; the later listing is KM-BD-123537. Both rows show a 280 mm bore and 120 mm rod.

Measuring those dimensions alone therefore cannot choose between the catalogue’s two kits.

The dump-cylinder listing has the same serial division but different parts. Bulldog identifies KM-BD-120513 through serial 1138 and KM-BD-120514 from 1139 onward, with a 200 mm bore and 100 mm rod in both rows. The catalogue changes its kit-type designation across each break.

It does not say that the earlier and later kits are interchangeable.

Record which cylinder needs repair before asking for a seal set. A bucket that will not hold its dump angle concerns a different listed application from the arms that raise the bucket; that observation identifies the circuit to investigate, not the cause of the fault. Match the machine serial and the cylinder actually fitted, particularly where a replacement assembly may have been installed during the loader’s working life.

The inner air element is not another outer-element option

Sakura’s own D155S-1 application identifies the engine family as S6D155. Its air-filter list includes A-5614 and expressly describes A-5610 as the secondary element for A-5614 or A-5618. That relationship matters when a supplier quotes both numbers: the secondary listing is not a statement that either element fills the same position.

The oil-filter entries also need their remarks. Sakura relates C-5701 to C-5605, C-5731 and the short-version C-5715; it separately lists hydraulic filter H-5606. Those names distinguish applications, not a single universal filter for every fluid circuit.

Compare the existing filter identification and housing with the manufacturer’s application before ordering. A kit sold simply as “D155 service filters” leaves the loader suffix and the individual filter positions unresolved.
