Komatsu D65E-7, D65EX-15E0, and D85E-12 specifications

A D65E-7 winch purchase needs the mounting and drive pieces

A loose W6F winch is only part of the D65E-7 installation. Allied identifies this tractor with vehicle code K42, while the adjacent D65S-6 application uses K43. The mounting drawing includes a gearbox.

Its parts schedule separates the right and left brackets, so a photograph of the drum does not establish that the tractor-side equipment comes with it.

There are serial changes within that installation. The gearbox list marks an alternative propeller-shaft arrangement as first used at AW6F-2210. The control-lever schedule also distinguishes early and later lever hardware and identifies a D65E-7-specific bracket.

Before pricing a used assembly, record the winch serial, its vehicle code, both mounting brackets and the connecting shaft. Missing pieces change what the purchase contains, even when the advertised winch model is correct.

The Japanese D65EX-15E0 sheet distinguishes fan load and refill quantity

Komatsu's Japanese technical page expressly labels the D65EX-15E0, although the brochure cover shortens the name to D65EX-15. Its net rating changes with hydraulic-fan speed. The headline uses minimum fan speed; the lower net figure uses maximum fan speed.

Neither should be read as an engine upgrade. The printed PS values are metric horsepower, not an interchangeable US horsepower label.

The same sheet separates total oil quantity from the amount changed. That matters when ordering fluid: a normal drain does not necessarily empty every passage. Cooling also has its own equipment distinction.

This version regulates fan speed with coolant temperature and provides a reverse cleaning mode, while its monitor includes a water-separator warning. Those details belong to this electronically controlled generation; they do not describe the older NH220-powered entries beside it.

The D85E-12 has a separate manual boundary

The original D8085A12BE3 shop-manual cover includes D85E-12 machines from serial 20337 onward. The D80A-12 entry on that same cover starts elsewhere. Read the actual model line, not just the shared manual title.

A seller calling a book “D80/D85” has not established that it covers an earlier serial, and the shared book does not make the two tractors mechanically identical.
