Separate the PC1250LC-8 base excavator from a special material-handling front
The reference record here describes a material-handling front, whereas Komatsu's PC1250LC-8 sales brochure documents excavator configurations. Its operating-weight tables depend on the installed work equipment and shoe width. Those excavator figures do not verify the reach or attachment-free weight of the special front in the older listing.
Identify the front assembly and its applicable chart before using an excavator digging specification as a material-handling limit.
The brochure also distinguishes the LC undercarriage from the standard and SP arrangements, including different track-roller and shoe counts. That distinction matters when comparing an undercarriage quotation or service record. A PC1250 family name alone does not identify every track assembly.
On the diagnostic side, the documented EMMS monitor stores trouble data and maintenance entries as well as displaying abnormalities. Ask for that history alongside the hour reading; a maintenance reminder and a recorded fault are different kinds of information, and neither establishes that the associated repair was completed.

Komatsu's PC1250-8 product presentation explains swing priority as a change in hydraulic allocation between boom raising and swing. Its examples concern different truck-loading swing angles with the lever fully operated. The switch changes how the loading cycle is coordinated; it does not supply a new capacity chart for a separately fitted material-handling boom.
A useful demonstration therefore records the selected mode and the actual front equipment instead of treating a quicker swing as evidence of a higher permitted load.
The presentation treats boom-setting modes as another control choice and identifies full-length roller guarding as an option, while describing protection for the travel motors and piping separately. These are distinct pieces of fitted equipment. Inspect the installed equipment in front of you when comparing two PC1250LC-8 machines, especially where a seller describes one simply as quarry specification.
The presentation is a manufacturer product bulletin reproduced publicly; its comparisons describe the configurations shown there and do not establish the condition, remaining life or updated equipment of an individual used excavator.
