Komatsu SK815-5, SK820-5 and SK1020-5: circuits and attachment limits
Identify the auxiliary circuit before choosing a flow figure
The European SK815-5 sheet distinguishes the normal auxiliary circuit from Super Flow. The base circuit has proportional pedal control and can be held at maximum flow. Super Flow adds the drain and electrical connections needed by its attachment arrangement.
A second circuit is a further distinction. The sheet gives one pair of flow ratings for using the circuits separately and another pair for simultaneous operation. Adding the two separate maximums would describe a combination the sheet does not promise.
Check the valve arrangement and the attachment's simultaneous demands.
The SK815 document also separates naturally aspirated and turbo engine ratings. Its European rating lines are not identical to every American reference entry for the same model name. The brochure, rating standard and engine suffix belong together when comparing an advertised horsepower figure.
Cab, hood and footboard tilt together for service access. The optional equipment list separately names a backhoe preparation, rear hydraulic stabiliser and modular rear counterweight. A loader offered with one of those items is not necessarily equipped with the others.

The larger SK1020 has attachment-dependent lifting figures
Komatsu's American SK1020-5 brochure gives different breakout forces for short-lip and long-lip buckets. Its counterweighted bucket arrangement and counterweighted pallet-fork arrangement have different operating capacities too. The bucket's load rating must not be reused as a fork rating.
The standard auxiliary flow and optional Super Flow maximum are separate entries. A reference showing the larger figure does not establish that a used machine has that option. The brochure identifies the optional four-element valve arrangement, alongside the extra auxiliary circuit.
Control choice changes pedal use. PPC joysticks operate travel and the loader; an optional pattern-change valve changes how the joystick functions are divided. The brochure excludes the foot accelerator from its hand-and-foot control pattern.
Establish the installed layout before expecting that pedal to behave like another machine's throttle.

A service change is smaller than an empty-system filling
The SK820-5 Turbo maintenance table distinguishes initial filling from an oil change for the combined hydraulic and hydrostatic system. Its final-transmission case quantity is per case. Keeping those headings prevents a complete-system capacity from being used as a routine refill, or a combined chain-case figure from being poured into each side.
