D350 steering and attachment equipment need separate checks
The D350 dealer training document describes mechanical travel drive combined with hydrostatic differential steering. Steering changes the relative track speeds while allowing drive to both tracks, rather than simply describing a stopped inside track. The steering and working equipment share hydraulic components, but the document distinguishes their operating circuits and gives steering priority during the described combined operation.
A complaint that appears only while turning and lifting therefore needs that operating condition recorded, not just a report that the blade feels weak.
The same training material explains that electrical commands are processed by a controller and pilot the transmission control block. The solenoids do not directly operate the transmission clutches. That distinction matters when interpreting a failed shift: a button, wiring signal, pilot-control problem and internal clutch problem are different findings.
Have the applicable electrical and hydraulic tests identified before treating an intermittent command fault as evidence that the entire transmission needs replacement.

The historical Fiat-Hitachi D350 Power Steering repair manual explicitly covers LT, XLT and LGP versions. Its equipment table separates semi-U, angled and full-U blades, with different widths, capacities and movements. That is useful for identifying a machine carrying an earlier badge, but it does not establish that every later New Holland D350 has all of those blade options or the same transport envelope.
Record the fitted blade type and undercarriage designation before comparing a seller's dimensions with a reference sheet.
The manual also distinguishes ordinary working condition from a configuration with a single-shank ripper when reporting ground pressure. Adding rear equipment changes the described configuration; the base figure is not an independent rating of every ripper-equipped machine. Treat the cited historical manual as evidence for its stated D350 Power Steering versions, rather than silently moving its capacities or fluid recommendations into a different serial range.
Source: Fiat-Hitachi D350 Power Steering manual, general specificationsFor a rear winch, Allied's New Holland fitment sheet includes an FD30C/D350 application and distinguishes bare-drum from full-drum line-pull figures. Those are winch conditions, not dozer drawbar ratings. The sheet's maximum-pull note also limits the figure by the tractor's developed pull or the recommended wire rope's breaking strength.
Identify the installed winch, gearing and rope before using a listed maximum to plan a pull.
