New Holland crawler dozers and graders: model and regional selection
A later D150B shows why the regional specification matters
New Holland's South American D150B reference describes a hydrostatic crawler powered by a six-cylinder, 6.7-litre FPT Tier 3 engine. That identifies a particular engine and transmission combination. It does not replace every figure in the older D150/DC150B comparison, and it does not describe the RG or F-series graders farther down this directory.
Start with the machine plate and its market-specific equipment before ordering a manual.
The D150B's travel settings can be adjusted separately: maximum speed, reversing response, steering sensitivity and forward/reverse speeds. For a used-machine demonstration, have the operator identify those settings before judging an abrupt reversal as a worn transmission. Conversely, a gentle setting does not prove that the hydrostatic drive is healthy.
Test response under the operating procedure for the actual tractor, with its normal blade fitted.
The manufacturer's extra-long-track description addresses ground contact and soil pressure. A blade-capacity comparison answers a different question. Record the track arrangement and shoe equipment alongside the blade when comparing this later D150B with an older DC150 or D150 listing; a shared number in the model badge cannot settle either choice.
The regional product page supplies a useful starting specification, while the older comparisons below retain their separate model records. A grader buyer should continue to the grader's own articulation, moldboard and drive specifications instead of applying these crawler controls to it.
