New Holland harvest equipment: CR rotors, CX processing and model choices
Start with threshing design when choosing a New Holland combine
The CR and CX labels identify different crop-processing arrangements. New Holland describes the CR as a Twin Rotor combine and the CX8 as a conventional machine using four-drum threshing and separation. Those are useful starting points for this directory's older CR and CX records.
A horsepower match does not tell a buyer which crop path, wear parts or straw-handling arrangement the machine has.
For the CX8.80 and CX8.90, the manufacturer's product reference describes an Opti-Clean cleaning shoe and an optional Opti-Spread residue system. Inspect the fitted chopper and spreader before comparing advertisements: the existence of the option does not establish that the listed machine carries it. The same page distinguishes manual grain-tank extensions from remotely operated covers.
Identify the tank equipment before comparing capacity figures.
Current CR10 and CR11 material belongs to a later generation than the CR6.80 and CR7090 records here. Do not transfer its larger-rotor claims or automation equipment to those older combines. The directory also contains self-propelled sprayers and a swather group.
Their tank, boom, cutting and conditioning requirements answer different jobs from grain threshing, so they remain separate machine comparisons. Open the relevant group before using the headline engine output to shortlist equipment.
