Tadano GS300XL to TT800XXL specifications
Match the Tadano upper works to its carrier and lifting chart
The GS300XL, TT300XL and larger Tadano truck cranes do not share one truck chassis or one lifting-chart setup. Record the carrier identity, crane serial number, installed counterweight and outrigger arrangement before comparing their headline capacities. A longer boom or a more powerful engine does not establish the permissible load at the job's radius.
GS300XL travel figures depend on serial number
The original GS300XL sheet identifies a Sterling LT7501 carrier with a Cummins engine, then provides different road-speed columns for the listed crane serial numbers. Its operating configuration cannot be identified from the GS badge alone. Keep the applicable column with the machine record instead of assigning the TT300XL's top speed to both cranes.
The GS sheet also distinguishes the crane's variable-piston pumps from its tandem gear pump for swing and outriggers. Crane power is engaged through a PTO lever in the carrier cab. During an inspection, establish which control arrangement the machine actually has before treating an inactive upper function as evidence of a failed hydraulic pump.

The TT300XL sheet identifies a CAT C7 engine on its Sterling carrier. Its full and intermediate outrigger spreads have different lifting charts, and the full-rotation setup calls for the front jack. Check the indicator's registered configuration against the actual beam extension and jib state with the qualified operator.
Its working-range drawing describes an unloaded boom on a level, firm supporting surface. Loaded deflection changes the radius. The outline drawing therefore cannot substitute for the lifting-capacity chart, and boom length should not be substituted for hook height when comparing clearance over a building.

The larger TT800XXL sheet provides separate charts for its telescoping modes and counterweight arrangements. It also identifies deductions for load-handling equipment and requires the jib state and working winch to be registered in AML-L. A stowed attachment and a reeved hook block still need the treatment specified in that chart; the nominal crane capacity does not describe the net load remaining for the lift.
Keep the engine edition separate as well. The earlier TT800XXL leaflet and the longer specification sheet print different power ratings at different engine speeds for the QSM11. Retain both documented conditions.
Neither figure proves that every used TT800XXL has the same engine calibration or installed counterweight.

History and service record of GS300XL to TT800XXL
- Japan's first hydraulic truck crane. Tadano was founded in Takamatsu in 1948 and in September 1955 released the OC-2, a two-tonne hydraulic truck crane described as Japan's first; its first export followed in 1960, four OC-5A units to Indonesia.
