Terex crane and material handler specifications
Choose a Terex crane by boom system and transport configuration
The Terex references include crawler, all-terrain, rough-terrain and truck cranes. Their engine-power rows cannot identify a common lifting arrangement. Begin with the carrier and boom system, then select the documented configuration: the HC110 crawler and the TC truck series illustrate why transport mass, boom reach and line pull need separate comparisons.
HC110: transport condition and working condition are different
The historical HC110 manufacturer brochure describes a pin-connected lattice boom assembled from inner, outer and insert sections. Its published transport-weight entry includes the sideframes and boom inner, rather than the full working boom. Before comparing a haulage figure with a lifting setup, identify which boom sections and counterweight pieces are aboard the machine in its transport configuration.
The brochure also describes hydraulic counterweight removal and sideframes that extend or retract using cylinders in the carbody. Those features concern assembly and configuration; they do not make a retracted transport arrangement equivalent to an extended working arrangement. Its independent main and auxiliary drums have different rope sizes and rated line pulls.
A hook-speed or line-pull figure must therefore name the drum being compared, rather than treating both hoists as identical.
Terex-American HC110 manufacturer brochure TAC-002, transport and hoist descriptionsTC40 and TC60: the longer boom is a separate choice
Terex's September 2009 truck-crane product guide lists TC40 and TC40L with the same nominal capacity but different main-boom lengths. It makes the corresponding distinction between TC60 and TC60L. A longer reach requirement is therefore a reason to inspect the L version's own chart, rather than assuming that nominal capacity selects the correct crane.
The guide separates boom length, sheave height, jib length and line pull into different columns. Sheave height with a jib is not a replacement for a main-boom reach figure, and line pull is not the crane's nominal lifting capacity. Record the intended lifting point and actual boom package before choosing among those columns.
Terex Truck Cranes product guide, September 2009, specification comparisonThe dedicated TC60L sheet describes a fully hydraulic telescoping boom, a carrier using M.A.N. engine and axle technology, and a two-seat carrier cab. It also identifies a Euro 4 edition. These are useful identifiers when checking an advertisement, but they do not establish the engine or emissions configuration of every older TC-series entry.
Match the full designation and applicable technical sheet before moving between historical references.
