John Deere 160G LC and 210G specifications

160G LC and 210G controls need the brochure edition

The Deere brochures distinguish their automatic idle settings: the updated 160G LC description gives 900 rpm, while the 210G publication describes an 800 rpm setting. Different idle speeds between these machines can therefore reflect their intended controls. Record the installed software and operator settings before treating a lower idle as an engine fault.

The 160G LC brochure identifies a standard pattern-control switch in place of the older optional field kit. The 210G publication likewise makes its pattern-change valve standard. Those statements describe the illustrated editions; they do not establish that an earlier used machine has received an upgrade.

Check the actual control pattern with the machine secured and follow its operator instructions.

The 210G grade package changes which attachment controls are available

The 210G document distinguishes Grade Guidance, which reports bucket-edge position relative to a target, from SmartGrade, which automatically controls the boom and bucket while the operator controls the arm. A position display alone does not establish automatic boom control or prove a complete SmartGrade installation.

A footnote also excludes the optional sliding auxiliary-function lever from Grade Guidance and SmartGrade excavators. That limitation matters when inspecting an attachment-ready machine: a missing slider may reflect its package rather than a missing replacement part. Identify the installed control and hydraulic arrangement instead of ordering a lever from a photograph of a different option.

The monitor's programmable attachment mode can adjust hydraulic flow and pressure for the attachment. Its presence is separate from the hydraulic single-pedal propel option. The latter coordinates straight travel; it does not add auxiliary attachment capacity.

Hydraulic tank capacity is not complete system capacity

Both publications give separate tank and complete-system refill entries. The earlier comparison labelled the smaller tank quantities as system capacities. The corrected labels retain those figures and add their manufacturer context; they should not be used to order the entire oil quantity for a drained hydraulic circuit.

The 160G LC equipped-weight correction below follows the brochure's stated bucket, arm, counterweight, shoes, fuel and operator conditions. Its printed pound and kilogram columns have a small conversion disagreement; neither supports the much smaller earlier reference entry. Transport planning needs the actual attachment-equipped machine weight.
