John Deere 450 LC to 992E LC specifications

450LC and 450C LC do not use the same engine installation

Deere specifies a 6101A for the 450LC and a 6125H for the 450C LC. The C-series sheet also identifies air-to-air charge cooling and EPA Tier II compliance. Its higher rated power occurs at a lower engine speed.

Similar machine dimensions and matching peak-torque entries do not make these engines interchangeable.

The 450LC hydraulic schedule lists two main pumps. Its 95 gpm value belongs to each pump, while the pilot pump has a separate rating. A comparison with a combined-flow entry needs both the pump count and circuit identified.

The relief-pressure entries also distinguish implements, travel, swing and power boost; one maximum pressure cannot represent every movement.

The C-series mass-excavation front changes the working envelope

The 450C LC schedule offers a mass-excavating boom and arm alongside its conventional front. With the short arm, the mass-excavation arrangement has a shorter reach and digging depth, but a smaller minimum front swing radius. It cannot be identified from arm length alone because the boom changes too.

The undercarriage drawing separates operating and transport positions. Retracting the gauge reduces crawler width; shoe width then adds another dimension to the transport envelope. Neither the narrow gauge nor the shorter front should be assumed just because an advertisement gives the base machine's dimensions.

The fitted front, shoe set and current frame position need to match the stated configuration.

Deere's 102,560 lb operating-weight example includes the specified heavy-duty bucket and longer arm. The shipping example removes the counterweight, arm, bucket and operator. Those are different assemblies, not competing estimates of the same equipped excavator.

992E LC service quantities and bucket limits

The 992E LC sheet gives coolant in quarts and hydraulic oil in gallons. Its 40-quart cooling entry is not a 40-gallon refill. It also separates hydraulic-tank volume from the full system, and lists the propel gearbox quantity for each side.

The bucket-selection chart depends on loose material density and working conditions. A larger light-material bucket does not establish the same suitability in wet sand or broken stone. Bucket and arm selections also change the lifting chart; the sheet's ratings apply at the bucket lift hook with the stated undercarriage and counterweight.
