350D versus early 350G: match the emissions generation first

The 350D LC and early 350G LC manufacturer brochures both publish 271 net horsepower. Their emissions systems differ. The D publication describes a Tier3 engine; the early G document describes an Interim Tier4 configuration with exhaust aftertreatment. Neither the shared model number nor the power figure establishes identical servicing requirements.

The D-series equipment list separates basic valves from attachment options

The 350D document lists reduced-drift protection for boom lowering and arm retraction as standard. A load-lowering control device is a separate option. Those descriptions should not be treated as interchangeable proof of an installed lifting arrangement.

Likewise, the D catalogue includes the auxiliary valve section and monitor-based flow adjustment, but lists auxiliary lines and additional controls separately. Trace the actual attachment circuit. Finding a valve section does not establish that a particular breaker or rotating attachment has the necessary plumbing.

The early G publication describes regeneration and distinct power modes

The early 350G brochure describes cooled EGR, a diesel oxidation catalyst and a particulate filter. Its active and passive regeneration account belongs to that emissions configuration. Identify the engine label before applying it to another market or later G-series machine.

High-productivity, Power and Economy modes change hydraulic response and available working speed. During a demonstration, note the selected mode before comparing cycle behavior with the D. A different mode can alter the observation without establishing a defect.

A current sales page and its linked brochure can describe different vintages

Brandt's current 350G page discusses integrated SmartGrade and labels its engine Final Tier4. The original brochure linked there describes Interim Tier4 instead. That mismatch is a reason to obtain the individual machine's build record, not a reason to assume all advertised features were installed on an early excavator.

The sales page also distinguishes Grade Guidance from SmartGrade's automatic boom-and-bucket control. A grade display alone therefore does not establish the latter capability. Ask which installed system is being demonstrated and whether its controls work.

Separate swing clearance from the front linkage envelope

The early G dimension drawing labels rear-end swing radius separately from minimum swing radius in the working-range table. Its pump specification also states flow per pump. The corrected entries below keep those meanings attached; using the front linkage dimension for rear clearance, or one pump's flow as a system total, changes the comparison.
