John Deere 950K and 1050K specifications
Separate the 950K blade and track configurations
The 950K brochure restricts its power-angle-tilt blade to the LGP track arrangement. The PAT machine is not simply the standard-width dozer with a different blade bolted on: Deere identifies a strengthened C-frame, extended final drives and a different power rating for that configuration. Establish the track and blade package before using the standard or LGP columns.
Deere also describes optional hydraulic blade pitch and programmable return-to-pitch. A dozer with ordinary blade tilt does not automatically include those functions. On the drivetrain, the planetary final drives are mounted independently of the track frame and dozer push frame to isolate shock loads.
The relevant inspection points include those mountings and the fitted blade-control equipment, beyond engine output alone.

The later 1050K undercarriage has exceptions
The later 1050K publication describes a suspended double-bogie undercarriage, but explicitly retains fixed rollers for pipelayer, waste-handler and stockpile models. Inspect which arrangement is installed. The larger model name does not establish suspended bogies on every application package.
The same brochure distinguishes the machine's hydrostatic braking response from its spring-applied, hydraulically released parking brakes. Total Machine Control lets the operator select whether the decelerator changes travel speed alone or travel speed and engine rpm. Record that setting before comparing engine response during a demonstration.
The implement and hydrostatic reservoirs are separate too: a tank quantity for one circuit cannot serve as a refill instruction for the other.

Regional 1050K literature must stay separate
Deere's regional 1050K brochure describes a Tier 2/Stage II engine, while the later North American specification identifies Final Tier 4/Stage IV equipment. Treat those as separate emissions applications; a shared badge and net-power value cannot establish the exhaust equipment fitted to a used machine. The regional publication also identifies half-shell push-beam bearings that can be replaced without cutting and welding, plus final-drive temperature reporting through JDLink.
Check those physical components and the installed monitoring equipment when comparing a machine with that literature. A brochure feature is not evidence that a particular used unit retains an active telematics service.

The 950K and 1050K are production dozers with different blade, undercarriage and regional engine arrangements. Deere separately documents standard, LGP/PAT and later double-bogie applications. Use the manufacturer examples and their equipment conditions; conflicting earlier imported values remain explicitly labelled below.
