Komatsu PC200-6 CUSTOM to PC240-6 specifications

The Custom and Excel names need an engine and serial-number match

Komatsu's SEBM005602 manual covers a particular Custom edition: PC200 and PC200LC machines from serial 83952, and PC220 and PC220LC machines from serial 50310. Its cover names the S6D95L-1 for the smaller pair and SA6D95L-1 for the larger pair. The reference listing below instead records a S6D102E-powered PC200 Custom. Those engine identities must remain separate when ordering service information.

Within that Custom manual, the pump-control diagrams themselves have serial breaks. Earlier PC200 diagrams cover 83952 through 86941; later instructions identify a different valve arrangement from 86942. A technician therefore needs the serial plate as well as the engine plate before choosing the hydraulic test diagram.

A dash-6 badge alone cannot select it.

PC200 Avance: distinguish swing priority from a loss of boom response

The separate PC200/LC-6 Avance brochure describes a Swing Accel selection that changes how flow is allocated between boom and swing. With the function off, its example favours boom supply for a shorter loading turn; selecting it favours swing for the larger turn. Record the selected function when comparing simultaneous movements, rather than calling every difference a worn pump.

That publication also describes a hinged oil cooler, allowing access for cleaning the radiator behind it. A clean outer face is not evidence that the space between the two cores is clear. Its diagnostic memory distinguishes current conditions from historical abnormalities, so an old stored event should retain its time context during an inspection.

The brochure's internal headings identify PC200 and PC200LC, despite the archive filename. They do not establish specifications for every EN or EL variant in neighbouring comparisons.

The PC240 Active Plus uses task-specific control settings

The European PC240-6 brochure separates heavy digging, general work, finishing, lifting and breaker settings. Finishing slows the arm; lifting changes the speed and relief-pressure arrangement. A slow response observed in one of those settings should be compared with its intended task before it is described as lost performance.

Its joystick functions also distinguish a temporary force increase from an operator-selected equipment slowdown. The latter helps controlled placement; it is not the automatic engine deceleration that occurs when the wrist controls are neutral. Note which function was selected when evaluating a machine that feels different during finishing and loading.

The Custom reference's ground-pressure entry is rejected below. The listing repeats the hydraulic relief quantity in that field. A hydraulic circuit pressure cannot be used to calculate track flotation; no replacement ground-pressure figure has been guessed from a different engine or shoe configuration.
